Leadership
We believe that God has and is equipping all of us to do great things for God and make a difference in this world. The challenge is to find our place and do it. As a result we have many people in the church who take a lead in all sorts of different things. The following are some of those leaders.

Elders
These are the senior leaders of Community Church Killingworth responsible for spiritual oversight, overall vision and direction for the church.

Pastoral Team
Ally Hetherington heads up the pastoral team which is made up of the housegroup group leaders. They are responsible for providing pastoral care, support, encouragement and direction for those in their midweek housegroup.  The housegroup leaders are Sue Glover and Ron Horsman, Jackie Hudson and Margaret Bell, Izzy Appleby, Ally and Rosie Hetherington.

Trustees
As a charitable incorporated organisation all matters relating to the charity are overseen by a board of trustees. The board is currently comprised of David Glover, Peter Bentley, David Forrest, Norman Moderate and Ally Hetherington

Other Teams
There are many other teams and leaders in the church doing a whole host of different tasks including looking after the worship group, all our various youth and children’s work, mission partnerships, or taking responsibility for specific tasks or events. The important thing is that everyone plays their part in encouraging, exhorting and demonstrating to each other how to be the best we can in God and make a difference in this world. If leaders lead others will follow.
